Start with the OUPV "6-Pack" Captain's License course for Recreational Vessels spread out over three weekends: Per USCG guidelines for all schools, the OUPV '6-pack' license is the first 75% of the Master's 100-Ton license, including Rules of the Road, Chart Plotting, Navigation General, and Deck General/Safety. The Master's license allows you to operate Inspected Vessel for Hire. Topics include fixed firefighting systems, safety drills, and lifeboat deployment.
